There is something incredibly satisfying about making chains. I start with a length of wire, coil and cut rings and then join them together in patterns which are often centuries old. If it seems the right thing to do, I add in some gorgeous artisan lampwork or the odd gemstone as well.

anguilla

The intricate Turkish roundmaille weave is never better than in solid sterling silver. A fairly heavy bracelet, anguilla looks just as good with evening wear as it does with jeans, and is finished with a simple hook clasp. One of my absolute favourite designs.

£70

dominica - heavy sterling
This is the chain I wear! Very slightly smaller than the tricolour copper version, this is still a serious amount of silver. Fastened with a simple 's' clasp to keep all the attention on the fascinating weave. You just can't go wrong with this one.
£60

dominica tricolour copper

Probably my most popular weave - a gorgeous and substantial Jens Pind Linkage in a tricolour sceme -this one uses three shades of copper with a simple bali hook clasp. This one measures 8 inches, but can be resized to fit almost anyone - a wonderful way of wearing copper to perhaps help ease any aches and pains. This is a perfect piece of jewellery for a man.

This bracelet can also be made in other tricolour options - including silver, bronze, brass or goldfill. Or, of course in three shades of gold/goldfill. Please contact me for more information.

£35

dominica - medium sterling

Another version of the wonderful Jens Pind Linkage, this time a little less heavy. Measuring in at an easily adjustable 7 inches, this is a fantastic everyday bracelet.

£50

dulcina
A dragonscale cuff in copper. I love this weave - it really does look like the scales of a mythical dragon, and moves beautifully.  A comfortable 7 1/2 inches, it is finished with a pretty hook clasp that's very easy to fasten. Available as a commission in sterling silver and other metals.
£45

samana
The classic Full Persian weave - one of the most fluid and elegant patterns. In copper, with a Bali copper toggle, this one is large enough for a man at 7 3/4 inches. As with all my handmade chainmaille pieces, this can be resized for you, or created in other metals, including sterling silver, gold fill or 18k gold. Contact me for more information.
£35

marmara
Possibly the most popular weave - and the one most people associate with maille jewellery - the classic Byzantine chain. This is a lovely heavy version - chunky enough to be worn by a man, but just as appropriate for a woman - this is a design that is perfect for a matched pair.

The one shown is in sterling silver, and measures 7 inches with a heavy squared hook clasp.

£65

lulu
Half Persian 4-1 chain this time. Lulu is a dream to wear - slinky and sinuous and so comfortable you can keep her on all the time. Sterling silver and adjustable by up to an inch either way from a 7 inch standard size.
£60

carerra

Another different weave. This time a classic Helm or parallel weave. Slightly over 7 inches long, this bracelet would be equally at home as an everyday piece or for dressing up.

£50

canouan

Viperscale weave in sterling silver. This is an exceptionally slinky and eyecatching bracelet. Surprisingly comfortable to wear, canouan has a easy to use but very secure sliding clasp. Over half an inch wide, the 7" length can be altered as required.

£65

levanzo
What a pretty weave! Known as scherzo, it is a real joy to wear - and looks especially stunning with a tan. Levanzo measures 7", and can be resized within the constraints of the weave.
£45

tortola

What a fun weave this is! Called shaggy loops, or flip flop weave, the rings rearrange themselves every time you move - and the shiny sterling silver catches the light perfectly. A very distracting piece - tortola is 7 1/2 inches long, and is designed to be worn slightly loose to get the full effect.

£55

tortola earrings
Matching the tortola bracelet, these shiny shiny earrings are in the same shaggy loops weave, sterling silver throughout, and have a drop of slightly over an inch and a half. Light as a feather and so eyecatching they're a wonderful dress up or dress down item.
£15

saba
Have you guessed? This is my favourite weave. Jens Pind Linkage again, in a 6 in 1 version, which looks more delicate than the regular style. There's a lot of rings (over 750) in this one, and it drapes beautifully. Sterling silver with a simple trigger clasp and 24 inches long, this looks wonderful on its own, but could also be used for a special pendant or bead.
£150

inagua
Simple, classic sterling silver in a Rhinos Snorting Drano weave. Inagua is a perfect 16" length and feels wonderfully substantial without being too heavy to wear all day. A truly versatile necklace that seems to go perfectly with just about anything. Like most maille pieces, inagua can be made to any length you require, please contact me for details.
£90

cuba
This is a special piece! Cuba is a 25" sterling silver lariat in the wonderfully fluid förårs kaede (spring chain) weave. Featuring a stunning 2 1/4" drop focal by the very talented Annelyse Taylor of Au Clair de la Lune beads, this lariat has been engineered to be worn at full length, or with a longer drop. It looks amazing worn backwards as a choker with the focal dropping down to the shoulder blades.
£125

arran

A classic byzantine chain in sterling silver links one of Caroline Cash's amazing bent beads in fantastic tones of violet with a pair of smaller round beads in the same shades, which reminded me of heather on granite.
Measuring 7 inches (just under 18cm), it can be resized up or down by up to an inch. Please provide a measurement if required.

£65

karpathos

Once again, wonderful pale aqua artisan lampwork from the torch of Caroline Cash at Crafted Gems. Karpathos features delicate sterling silver maille and a simple 's' hook. At 7 inches. this should comfortably fit most people, but can be adjusted about 1/4 in either direction if required.

£50

corsica
Sterling silver Jens Pind Linkage in another style this time. Corsica features another of Caroline Cash's wonderful bracelet beads - this time in the palest shades of aqua on a transparent base. With a matching clasp, this bracelet is 6 3/4 inches, but feels a little larger because of the clever design of the bead. Let me know if you need any adjustments made.
£65

fidalgo

This piece would be equally at home in the charm bracelets shop, but I kept it here as its base is a half persian 3-1 weave. The slight dome of this chain makes it perfect for charms, and I've chosen to load it up with some wonderful artisan lampwork in copper greens and natural aquamarine beads in various shapes. Lots of bali silver adds to the finished look. Fidalgo is 7 1/2 inches long and can be sized up or down as required.

£75

ithaka
Queens  link maille this time. Ithaka features a kronos bendy bead by Mary Parker at Flamingo Beads, and is designed to lie perfectly flat on the wrist - ideal for people who don't like their bracelets to move around too much. As always, Ithaka is hand crafted in sterling silver, and measures 7 1/4 inches, but can be easily resized to fit. This is a design that looks best worn fairly snug (like a watch).
£65

conister

And now for something completely different! This weave is called Rhinos Snorting Drano. Seriously. With some lovely artisan lampwork from Sooz at Opus Moon, this Sterling silver bracelet measures 7 1/4 inches, and is finished with a classic toggle clasp.
